Ribbon Cutting for Blowin Smoke - March 28th, 2008

The Savannah Development and Renewal Authority (SDRA) is hosting a ribbon cutting for Blowin’ Smoke on Friday March 28, 2008, 5:00 p.m. at 514 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.   Blowin’ Smoke BBQ is owned by Brian Huskey, who also owns B. Matthews Eatery located on Bay Street. The restaurant serves meats smoked using pecan wood in a rotisserie smoker. The restaurant is currently open for lunch and dinner and offers to go service as well. The restaurant also hopes to expand its catering business. The business offers free parking and a large courtyard which is an ideal setting for outdoor dining. The property at 514 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. was the recipient of a Façade Improvement Loan in 2002 funded by City of Savannah and administered by the Savannah Development and Renewal Authority (SDRA). Representatives from the City of Savannah, Savannah Development and Renewal Authority, and the Downtown Business Association will be on hand to welcome Blowin’ Smoke to downtown Savannah.  For additional information about this event, please contact SDRA at 651-6973 or savannah_dt@sdra.net
